Best known for its setting of the famous novel “The Lover” written by French author Marguerite Duras, Sa Dec is a lively colonial city of Dong Thap Province in the Mekong Delta of Southern Vietnam, about 140km from Ho Chi Minh City. The special feature about the Sa Dec flower village is that almost flowers are grown on the high shelves with bamboo baskets, and the water flows at the bottom, while gardeners get around by boat.
